Pack the kids up and run don’t walk to Kay’s Ice Cream on Chapman Highway. Because this amazing piece of Knoxville history is ending it’s final chapter this Saturday as it will close its doors for the last time.
This Business started in 1946 and became famous for there ice cream, burgers, and of course the atmosphere. I know I have many family members who are very saddened and will be a little fatter as they try to get the last of their homemade burgers eaten before they can’t get them again. Kay’s will be open from 11am-8pm on Saturday and I almost beg you to go and see why there are so many heartbroken loves in Knoxville this weekend.
But like all good ice cream sun days you better go before it melts and is gone forever. I do wanna say thank you to Kay’s for making Knoxville Sweeter for all these years!
