One Fish Two Fish Three Fish For Free

Do you like to Fish? I’m not the best fisherwoman I have a tendency to talk to much, and apparently fish don’t like loud mouths, but I do enjoy it.  If you didn’t know you need a license to fish but June 8 is your free fishing day, check out more info below!

 

The Cove at Concord Park to Host Free Fishing Day June 8

 

WHEN:      June 8, 2019

8 a.m. to noon

 

WHERE:    The Cove at Concord Park, 11808 S. Northshore Drive

 

WHO:         Knox County Parks and Recreation, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency,

and members of the community

 

BACKGROUND:  The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is sponsoring Free Fishing Day on Saturday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to noon at The Cove at Concord Park. The Cove is located at 11808 S. Northshore Drive.

 

TWRA will provide rods, bait, tackle, bottled water and prizes for the children. There also will be free hotdogs and snacks for the children.

 

The event is geared toward family and children and those who participate can fish without a license for the day.

 

“We will have our fisheries division stock the small pond are near the Cove with catfish on  the day prior in hopes that everyone will be able to have a nice catch,” said TWRA wildlife officer Jeff Webb.

 

The event is free and open to the public.
