I have a new favorite brunch place for all my loves to try out. It’s called First Watch and is located on 6474 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37919 . It’s kind of tucked away on the pike, but once you find it your taste buds will thank you over and over. The inside seating area is cozy and welcoming with an open view of the kitchen. With the rustic but modern day atmosphere, it is perfect for anything from a breakfast meetings to a romantic morning date. There is also outdoor sitting where you have no idea that you are feet away from kingston pike. There is greenery and a walkway that gives the feeling of eating outside at a cozy mountain restaurant, but in the middle of our great city.
Now onto the food and drinks. First Watche’s orange juice taste like it was poured down straight from Heaven. I’m not sure why, but I’m pretty sure you could live on it from how amazing it tastes. The coffee was good and perfect to wake you up, but the drink I had was the best over all. I treated myself to a Hibiscus Limeade made with fresh lime, hibiscus, natural cane sugar and basil. The drink looked like I should be sitting on the beach drinking it and tasted like heaven. They carry a Kale Tonic that the server said was the best in town. I know I will have to go back and try it.
If the drinks weren’t good enough the food was perfection! Seriously loves, I don’t think I’ve ever had a breakfast this good since Granny’s house on a Sunday morning before church. There menu is full of healthy and unhealthy food. From every fit woman and man’s favorite avocado toast and eggs to the Elote Mexican Street Corn Hash from their Sunshiny Summer Flavors section that I ordered. This Mexican Corn Hash has two cage free eggs cooked to order with seasoned potatoes, summer sweet corn, chorizo topped with fresh avocado, cotija cheese, chipotle crema, and fresh cilantro. With all that said… it was gone with in the first five minutes.
The food was amazing and the staff where happy and helpful. The menu itself was full of so many wonderful things It was really hard to pick. I got to try a breakfast burrito also that was wonderful and packed full of great flavors that seemed to melt together with every bite. All-in-all, I’m counting down the days till I get to go back. This definitely needs to be on your list of places to go this summer!
