Larsen Jay announces “Hike, Bike & Paddle with the Candidate” events FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (June 7, 2018) – Larsen Jay, a candidate for Knox County Commission (At-Large, Seat 10), is inviting citizens to “Hike, Bike & Paddle with the Candidate.” Today, he announced three unique outdoor events around Knox County where citizens can engage with him as a candidate while also experiencing some of the community’s best outdoor assets.

“As we enter summer and the campaign is in full swing leading to the general election on August 2, I’m spending more time than ever connecting with constituents in places where they live, work and play,” Jay Said. “With these outdoor campaign events, it’s my hope to connect with people in a new and personal way while highlighting the excellent outdoor experiences we have in our community.”

Events Include:


On Saturday, June 9 at 8:00 a.m., Larsen Jay will meet friends and neighbors in East Knoxville at House Mountain (9601 Hogskin Rd., Corryton, TN 37721) to hike together atop the 2,100 ft. crest overlooking Knox County.


On Saturday, June 30 at 9:00 a.m., Larsen Jay will welcome people to join him in South Knoxville at the Baker Creek Preserve (3700 Lancaster Dr., Knoxville, TN 37920), the trailhead to over 100-acres of hills, valleys, and meadowland featuring natural surface trails for riders of all skillsets.


On Saturday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m., Larsen Jay will encourage people to enjoy the water in West Knoxville at The Cove at Concord Park (11808 Northshore Dr., Knoxville, TN 37922). Participants can bring their own paddle board or kayak, or conveniently rent one on-site from River Sports.
