It has been a busy week for McCalla Around Knoxville! We have three new advertisers and aren’t stopping yet. Please welcome our newest advertiser to the blog, Mr. R. Larry Smith who is running for County Commission At Large seat 11.
Mr. Smith is a lifelong resident of Knox County and has been married for 33 years. The list of state boards and elected presidents could go on and on so I will just list a few. He is former GOP chairman, Past president of 5 Knox County Business Professional associations, and he was elected twice as Vice Chair of Knox County commission by his colleagues. Even when he is not running for an office, he still stays engaged in his community.
Larry has a vision for Knox County and it starts with creating public trust and confidence in County Government and adequate pay for teachers, Sheriff’s deputies, and county employees. His focus will also be to vote no on a property tax increase and will work with the budget to stay fiscally responsible.
Larry wants your vote and wants you to know he is a open book with no ties to Knox County Government. He plans on being your voice on Commission. Early voting starts April 11th.
