Tested, Proven, and Committed.

Hello loves,

Let’s Welcome another wonderful candidate to our great blog. Tom Spangler running for Knox County Sheriff. Spangler has been in law enforcement for more than 30 years. He has worked from the ground up to where he is today.

What’s his resume look like?

Tom began his service with four years in the Air Force. His law enforcement career began in Knox County as a corrections officer. He served as a patrolman for 8 years before being promoted to investigator in the narcotics division. He then rose in rank until he became director of the training division, eventually establishing the Knox County Sheriff’s regional training academy, to top chief and interim sheriff during the “Black Wednesday” time period in Knox County. Spangler served as  training director for the Blount County Sheriff’s Office from 2012 through 2016.

Experience matters to Spangler, to be sheriff you need to have the knowledge to know what it’s like to be the little man on the pole and no that wasn’t a joke about his short stature. Spangler is a forward thinker with high morals. He wants to focus on making sure all the officers are taken care of.

I’ve written before about his passion for the thin blue line family. One of the things Spangler does out of his passion for being an officer is he goes straight to the hospital whenever an officer is hurt. Now that’s leadership! His devotion to officers is one like I have never seen before and his campaign team has blown up the county with signs and support.
