Happy New Year! A new year means new year resolutions and if your like me, one of your resolutions is always to lose weight. I’m a self-claimed gym rat. I spend about 5 days a week in the gym, but I thought I would do a series for you. I’ve decided to a “workout tour” of some local places that offer different types of workouts for you to reach your goal…whatever it may be.
The first place I’m want to tell you about is MY gym. I am a member of National Fitness Center. I’ve been a member for 5 years now and I absolutely love it. There are 4 gyms you can go to in Knoxville and one in Maryville. Depending on the membership you choose, you can pick which one you have access to or have a membership that gives you access to all of them.
What I was looking for when I first started working out was place with amazing childcare and a variety of different workout classes I could do. The pools at every location don’t hurt either. I normally go to the only National Fitness that got to keep the old name, Court South on Merchants. I really feel comfortable there and my son loves childcare workers. Court South has one of the friendliest staffs I have ever met. The whole staff know me and my son by name and they touch base with us throughout the week. The childcare is efficient and loving and the facilities have everything you need to reach your goals. There is a cardio theater that is kept dark so you can sweat and watch a movie at the same time. The main manger, Ron Rayho, adds a special touch to his staff by changing out there front sign everyday sometimes 5 times a day with birthday wishes, well wishes, congratulations and much more .His outreach to the community alone is incredible.
If the Court South club is too far from you. the more recently built National Fitness Center Signature Club is the gym’s pride and joy. This location has up-to-date machines, 3 huge pools and indoor pool with a side, a cardio theater that’s HUGE, lots of dumbbells, a stretch room, racquetball courts, a women’s only area and much more. The staff is efficient and friendly. With your membership, you have access pick any class offered as well (spin, body pump, or event barr classes you want to take) and personal training.
This locally owned gym is amazing and I highly recommend it. You can reach a membership specialist by coming in or calling ahead and making an appointment. You will get a tour of the facilities when you visit the location. Contact Ron Rayho at 865-688-3600 or go to there website and check it out for yourself. You can call him for all your membership needs, not just at the club that he is at.
Whatever you do, set a goal and work hard to meet it. Always strive to be the best love you can be!
