The Game of Success

Hello Loves,

Do you like board games? I recently met with a person who has changed the game when it comes to board games. Jason Evans and his wife have designed and developed a game that is quickly taking over the game world, and you could  possibly see it in your child’s next class.  What game is it? Success! It’s a board game about money management, dealing with what life throws at you and how to overcome the bumps in the road you may encounter.

The game is made up of cards that give you what you have to achieve to win the game. Every board is different but they all have one thing on the a carrae, you roll the dice and the number determine how you will manage your money by what job you have, and the rest depends on you.  On your card you may get to travel, you may have a dog, you may have kids, a spouse, or you may simply have none of that. The cards show that everyone’s life is different, but we can all have success and work through the cards that we have been given.

The game also has these great chance cards, these cards are our “happy bumps” or “bad bumps” in the orad. For example you may pick one card that which may be that your wealthy aunt just gave you money or pick another and you have to give half of your assistants to the bank because of a divorce. The game makes you think about how to manage money because once it’s gone you’re out.

I got to play and let me tell you in the first few minutes I was a doctor who was married then got divorced. It was amazing but made this go to girl really think. The best thing for me is this man is local and developed this great game in Knoxville! SO stop what you are doing right now and go for it! Smart toys and books has it or you can get it from his website!!!

Eddie Smith and the Future

Hello Loves,

State Representative Eddie Smith took time out of his busy summer and even with a summer cold to speak to the Knox County Young Republicans. He came ready with new information about what he has been working on and what he achieved this year in Nashville.

He spoke about the reform on our health insurance. Then we moved on talking about how for new teachers Eddie has helped 1st time teachers who just came out of school receive some extra money for their classroom to decorate and start getting materials for their classrooms. The bill passed the House and got hung up in the senate.  Eddie is on the education committee so a lot of his bills deal with education.

One of the bills that he’s working on is substance abuse with minors. There is not ONE substance abuse facility in the state of Tennessee that solely helps just children. How sad is it that we can treat adults in the state of Tennessee but no children? Eddie is working hard for the kids in the system and children that get out of the system, giving more power for the parents to say hey we need help.

State Representative Eddie Smith is truly fighting for the Republican Party. He had many great ideas on how we can grow our little group and even offered to help.  Nashville hasn’t seemed to change him and he’s spending his summer working hard for Knoxville even if he’s not in session.

Big Industry Chain Gone Bad

Hello Loves

Knoxville just had a case of “Big Industry Chain” gone bad. Alfred Angelo, a designer wedding dress chain has closed its doors and sadly the one in turkey creek has done the same. The sad part of this story is there’s no refunds for wedding dresses or any bridal attire. They closed the doors and now hundreds of brides are out of thousands of dollars with months until their wedding and nothing to wear.  They’re being sent to the lawyer of Alfred Angelo but what now?

This is why I always say if possible BUY LOCAL! We have a wedding dress shop called White, Lace and Promises which is wedding boutique is LOCALLY owned. That means they work here, they eat here, they have to see you at church, and the store.  They’re not going to close their doors and just say sorry.  Locally owned businesses are treasure for Knoxville.

For those Alfred Angelo brides I pray that you get your money back, its a sad day when people stop caring and just shut the doors.
