Let’s be real readers and friends, politics is a man’s world! Now before you all start emailing and Facebooking me hate mail. We have to be real! Most politicians are men, Most campaign managers are men, women are looked at as a nice arm piece for a politician if they hire a cute woman with a nice figure. I’m in this business and most men are completely okay with you looking cute, but taking orders from a woman who knows what she is doing ….. that crosses the line, and the double standards oh dear lord. I can dress up and if I show too much skin I’m sleeping my way up the latter and if I dress down I look homely it’s obviously I don’t take my job serious. It’s a very very tough world.
But every once in awhile we come across a powerful woman in politics that is stunning and brilliant as mythical as a unicorn. A woman that knows when to make a political move and when to hold all your cards and bluff. A woman that stands up and defies all the rules of you have to be a man to be heard and does it in a form figure dress and heals that makes you double take. And not because she’s showing off her body but because she is confident in herself in anything and everything that she does.
Knoxville Young Republicans will be hosting this political icon at their May meeting. To say I’m excited is an understatement. I look up to this woman so much, to captivate a room like she does is not a skill but an art, and in my world I work hard in hopes to one day be at her level. So who is she?
