It’s almost football time in Tennessee. I don’t know about y’all, but the Orange and White Game is the start of the spring for me, and it is tomorrow. Here are a few hints and tips for this wonderful game.
First: parking and admission is free and you get to sit anywhere you want in our amazing Neyland Stadium except for the sky boxes. It requires a special ticket and you can’t get that from me because I’m just your go to girl of Knoxville. The University of Tennessee will host free autographs from the players, cheerleaders, Smokey and of course Butch Jones.
Gate 7 will open at 12:30. However, from my personal experiences VOL fans start to line up hours before then so get early and bring snacks!! You will need VOL gear for everyone to sign and I would always bring your own sharpie just in case theirs runs low. The players will be divided by their position so know who you want and go for that side first! Bring a camera or your cell phone because you can take as many pictures as you want, but they do move you fast through the line.
This is a perfect event for kids of all ages. Depending on where the sun is pick your side and seat carefully if you have a little one that can’t be in the sun, and you’re welcome to move throughout the game if your seat doesn’t work out for you!
The game starts at 4pm and if you can’t make it you can always watch it on the SEC Network.
Last reminder, this is a game and for us diehard VOL fans we do tailgate so keep that in mind and all the rules for a normal game apply such as having to clear bags.
So go enjoy the game after you hit the Rossini Festival and as always GO BIG ORANGE!!!
