Fountain City Business & Professional Award

Hello  Loves,

I flitted over the Interstate and through Fountain City Park to attend the Fountain City Business and Professional Association meeting. I will confess I enjoy these kinds of associations and the Fountain City Association has over 100 businesses, all of whom promote – – – Fountain City! Being a Bobcat alumni, I decided to peek in and was pleased to see John Fugate is the president. Law Director Bud Armstrong and his precious wife Patti were there, circulating through the 50-some odd people present. The club is looking ahead, as they are already planning the annual Easter egg hunt.

What was sad is three schools had been invited to participate in the program that evening and only one school consented to send a representative. That representative walked away with a check and yet we continue to hear about schools needing money, right?

The big item on the agenda was the presentation of the Claude C. Myers Award, which is given for an outstanding individual who has personified service and dedication to Fountain City. R. Larry Smith was supposed to give present the award to the winner and after some feet shuffling, he turned out to be the recipient!
